A Rich HeritageMirepoix existed well before the Christian era. In 1279, the day of Saint-Cyr, the whole city was inundated by a flood of Hers. On the rebâtit around the Benedictine priory. In 1317, Pope John XXII in Avignon was the seat of a bishop. The importance of the city was then considerable. In 1104, Roger de Bellissens-Mirepoix died in the Holy Land. markets, craft markets, concerts culminate in the summer with the "Medieval",
great historical reconstruction, and without forgetting the famous Festival International de la Marionnette in August.
